Picking a Secondary Clutch

We are stocking the EBS style, roller style or the HD style secondary clutches, they go by many names.  I will try and make this easy to understand, if I confuse you just call me.

By model.

XP 1000 and XP4 1000

Fits 2014-15 XP 1000 all models 2 and 4 seat, no helix or spring will be installed

2011-2014 RZR XP 900 and XP4 900

All years of XP 900 and XP4 900 come with this secondary already on it, so the ones we carry for this would simply be a replacment for your worn out one.  You have a choice of taking it bare and using your spring and helix or we can install the stock spring in it so you don't have to buy a spring compressor and the option of using our custom less EBS helix or non EBS helix to less the effect of the abrupt braking or simply remove low speed braking. For more information about that see the Helixes on our site in the RZR 900 section, there is a tech article there.

2014-19 Ranger XP 900

The Ranger 900 changed shafts in 2014 so the secondary available is only for 2014-2019 models. The Ranger comes with a Rapid Reaction secondary which we think is a very low quality unit that will not last and has no low speed engine breaking. The Browning Edition 2014 comes with this EBS secondary on it, so if you have one of those, this would be a simply replacment for yours and you have a choice of taking it bare and using your spring and helix or we can install the stock spring in it so you don't have to buy a spring compressor and the option of a new stock helix.

Other Ranger 2014 models, this would be a direct swap from your rapid reaction with no primary work or mods needed. You will gain more low speed engine braking, a smoother take off and overall shifting improvment.  You would need the secondary, optional stock spring and the Ranger stock helix in the options on the site order page.

What Ranger 900 needs it? Anyone with a worn out secondary either Browning Edition or otherwise if you do not want to buy another low quality Rapid Reaction secondary and want to add more low speed engine braking.

RZR 570

For 2013 and 2014 RZR 570 STD and LE with EBS. For the LE EBS model, it is a direct replacment and you have a choice of taking it bare and using your spring and helix or we can install the stock spring in it so you don't have to buy a spring compressor and the option of a new stock helix.  For the STD model, it would be a direct replacement for your low quality Rapid Reaction secondary with no primary clutch mods needed. You will gain more low speed engine braking, a smoother take off and overall shifting improvment.  STD models would need the secondary, optional stock spring and the 570 stock helix in the options on the site order page.

If you convert from a STD to the EBS secondary and you buy a clutch kit you will buy a clutch kit for a LE model from here on out.

On engine braking, we can offer the service of you sending in your primary and us add the one way bearing to your primary like the 570 EBS LE has for complete EBS. This is something you need to call me about. Todd 601-771-0070

2015- RZR 900 and 900 S

This secondary would be a upgrade for the 900 std trail and 900 S but the exact same clutch that comes on the EBS model which is any Trail with power steering.  All the power steering models in the trail have EBS standard.

We have some stock helixes and springs for the trail and 900 S for a direct swap. You will get a much better quality secondary and you will have engine braking down to about 4 mph then you can add the HD one way bearing we sell to give it full on EBS until you stop if you want that option.

The best of the best would be to add this secondary to either the S model or Std trail and a Dalton clutch kit but you would choose the EBS clutch kit since you are converting your std and S to the EBS model essentially.

If any of this confuses you, feel free to call me or email.
