Strictly Helix info.

Why would you want to change the helix in your XP 900?

The main reason is, too much engine braking from Polaris. If you ride hard or jump you will notice the abrupt amount of engine braking and it gets annoying.

The engine braking we are talking about is not the natural engine braking you get when you let off gas at higher speeds, we are talking about low speed engine braking where the stock EBS secondary that Polaris uses in the XP 900 that keeps the primary engaged longer. We feel this area is way too much for most people. So if you get a lot of jerky feeling when you slow down or when jumping, let off the gas and land and get thrown thru roll bar this is the area we are addressing.

So we are offering two helixes, one has less EBS engine braking, this one will be what most people want. I think most would not want to rid themselves of all low speed engine braking so this one just makes it not so abrupt.

The NON-EBS helix has NO low speed engine braking and will freel wheel at slower speeds, also when jumping and rough riding. This one is the one I run while racing. Any kind of engine braking is not good for me. So if you are a aggressive rider or a guy who jumps alot the NON-EBS one is for you.

Both helixes have our custom straight angle on them. We found during testing that RPM dropped off over the whole range and we wanted to make that RPM flat or slightly rising. The stock helix is a compound angled helix, it has two angles it thus the reason for drop in RPM.

This custom angle fixes that and helps some on throttle response.

If you have any questions at all call me.
