Introducing the first programmable CDI for the Yamaha Rhino. This CDI works with the Rhino 660 and the 450. Now you get to decide how you want to ride, and how you want your Rhino to perform.

This CDI features 4 distinct 'maps' that you can modify to your liking, and then switch between them. Even on the fly! That's right. There are 4 individual maps that specify the timing curve, RPM limiter, and optionally a forward/reverse speed limiter. An external switch allows you to select which map to use.

Now here's what's really cool. You can pick any 2 of the 4 maps to be selectable 'on the fly'. Meaning you can switch between them while you're driving, just like flicking a switch.

This thing has so many features it's hard to explain... There's a signal wire that you can program to indicate when your motor has reached an RPM level (which is programmable). This is great if you're turbo'd, supercharged, or nitrous injected. Put this together with the on the fly map selection, and you can set up your machine to adjust the timing when you hit major boost, or only inject nitrous when RPMs are high enough. It's also got a tachometer output that allows many off-the-shelf tachometer's to work on the Rhino.

All this talk about programming this and selecting that... Don't despare. This CDI comes out of the box set up to our specifications. Most of the time, you won't have to change anything, just select the map of your choice and go. A simple flick of a switch and you enable the VALET MODE to limit forward/reverse speed whenever someone 'speed challenged' (whether they realize it or not) is going to drive your Rhino.
